ANDES RACE
The Andes Race has four distances of different levels. We have two short distances of 13K and 30K and two ultra marathons of 60K and 100K. Each distance has a different starting point along the main race track, but the four of them have the same Finish Line at Ollantaytambo. The starting points are Huaran (100K), Lares (60K), Huacawasi (30K) and Willoc (13K).
The four Andes Race distances takes place on trails across the Andes mountains. 100K and 60K have a high level of difficulty due to the altitude at which they are developed (over 4000m) and the high paths they have reach above 4500m. The 13K distance is a smooth route but with a certain degree of difficulty.
MARKING ALONG THE ROUTE
The Andes Race throughout its 100K route – including its other three distances – will be marked with 20cm x 15cm flags, which will have reflective tapes for the safety of the runners.
