ANDES RACE ITRA POINTS
The International Trail Running Association (ITRA) is the organization in charge of evaluating all trail running races that aspire to provide ITRA points to classify the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc, the most emblematic mountain race in the world of trail running.
ITRA according to a series of values specific to each race, takes into account the distance, the positive slope, the aid stations as well as other factors such as the number of aid stations and whether the circuit is repeated several times in the form of a “loop”. The result of this evaluation gives each distance points from 1 to 6 which can be accumulated in order to classify UTMB.
Currently, Andes Race is the only 100K trail running race in Peru and South America that awards 5 ITRA points.
