In 2022 we will also be the first Peruvian race to be part of the WMRA World Ranking as an Associate Race. Participants in 30K and 13K distances, will be part of the Mountain Running World Ranking, which is based on 4 principles:
- Directory of the best mountain races around the world.
- Mobile ranking according to the results of the last 365 days of each runner.
- Transparent scoring system.
- Work in continuous development.
¨Andes Race is a race that has been designed to be able to carry all this group of athletes who want to enjoy this controlled adventure. The idea has always been to replicate what the Chaskis did in the time of the Inkas. That is what we do, we run long distances with checkpoints as they did. For this type of adventure sports, everyone is looking at Cusco as a great potential, not only for foot races such as the Andes Race, but for cycling and kayaking. So it has an energy that also attracts sport. ”
